Pet Care Professional

At Walks with the Pack, we love what we do and our customers clearly love it too, as we are so busy! Since Dec 2023 we have built a business out of a love of dogs and from an understanding of what it takes to provide an excellent service to our customers. We want to offer our premium pet care services to more people, but we need staff that can offer the same level of quality and care as we do! Might you be that person? If so, please get in touch!

Hours/rates

• 1 to 3 mornings a week with the chance of expanding your hours.

• Our morning pickups are typically in the window of 0815 - 1000 depending on routes etc.

• The morning walks are typically from around 1000 - 1130 (90 min walks)

• Drop offs are typically complete by 1300.

• Pay is dependent on experience and can increase with walking more dogs.

Job role:

• Planning pickup routes in advance to reliably collect dogs on schedule.

• Collecting keys, keeping them safe and returning them to base.

• Safely and courteously driving to collect dogs from around Bristol.

• Keeping fully informed of the dogs needs and permissions relating to their care, via our pet care portal and via us (Katy and Jim!).  

• Walking dogs at various pre-agreed locations in and around Bristol for 90mins, on lead and off lead, depending on permissions and circumstances of the day.

• Taking photos and video and sending on to clients during the walk.

• Responsibly monitoring the dogs behaviour and continually risk assessing and managing factors such as overly boisterous play, aggression and environmental risks such as water, roads and other dogs.

• Preserving “Walks with the Pack” public reputation with thoughtful and courteous behaviour towards members of the public and other dog walkers.

• Picking up dog poo and depositing in a suitable place!

• Giving the dogs a doggy wash and towel down. 

• Dropping dogs back safely to their homes.

• Communicating problems or delays directly and in a timely manner to the appropriate person (Katy or Jim in most cases).

• Following company policies and procedures.

Prerequisites (please do not apply if the following do not apply to you) 

Do you love dogs?
Do you have experience working with dogs or have lifelong experience with them at home?
Are you dog behaviourally aware?
Do you own your own vehicle and have a full clean drivers licence?
Are you a caring, enthusiastic, trustworthy person with excellent interpersonal skills?
